The Scottish Stem Cell Network offers a great opportunity to be part of the stem cell community in Scotland.

Anyone with an interest in stem cell research and its therapeutic applications can join - whether you are a scientist, clinician, lawyer, business person, teacher or other professional.

What Membership Offers

Membership of the Scottish Stem Cell Network provides professionals working in the field with a community in which they can discuss ideas, find collaborators and keep up to date with advancements in the field.

As such, we make it a priority to assure members that within the members’ area of the site, they are speaking with professional colleagues, that we will never make their details public and that they are fully protected by Data Protection laws.

Membership Criteria

In order to join as a member of the Scottish Stem Cell Network, individuals must pass the following criteria:

  • Be a professional working within the industry (this covers a wide range of professions, from a scientist to a patent lawyer or clinical nurse, etc)
  • Supply SSCN with accurate contact details and agree to make us aware of when these details change
  • Agree to our 12 week ‘probation period’*

Please note that if you are a patient or generally interested member of the public, you can email and ask to be placed on our mailing list, which we use to communicate with members of the public when recent developments or updates are available.

*SSCN operates a 12 week probation period for new members, whereby those accepted for membership will be granted access to the members area of the website but will not begin to benefit from free/reduced fee meetings or Knowledge Transfer Awards until the 12 week period is complete.
